A Bit About Me, and Why I Created Fitness Hacker

Hi, I’m Troy

Personal Trainer – Webpreneur – Digital Nomad

No, my body does not resemble that of a Greek god and I have zero chance of running a 4 minute mile, but I haven’t given up yet.

I’m average gym goer; my weight training program consists of short intense training periods of 1-2 weeks doing a well written, structured program I got off the internet.

I then proceed to hopelessly I fall off the horse, doing 3-4 months of “off plan” training that consists of me turning up at the gym, picking the exercises that I have managed to remember, that I think target the area I think I want to work. I pick the maximum weight I can lift, always sticking to my default 3 sets of 10 reps for each exercise.

This mishmashed workout is then (if I can be bothered) followed up with a few abs exercises and a protein shack.
Even though I knew that unfocused effort was extremely ineffective, I continued to do it, year after year getting minimal fruit for my labour….. Continued until FitnessHacker.com (originally AllStarWorkouts.com) got me on track From the moment I started running it in early 2013, it become obvious to me that performing crappy workouts that lacked the information I needed to stay motivated had led to my constant inability to stick to any sort of fitness program and prevented me getting the results I was looking for.

I have now made it my mission to make sense of all the crazy information around getting fit that you find online. I research it, di-sect it, test it, test it again and then give you the best stuff. Simple.

I’m no personal trainer or doctor and I don’t play one on the internet. I just give you what I see as the facts from the information I have come across and my personal experience from performing the workouts myself.

All of the workouts on the site are yours free to use and are for the most part re-publications of workouts that I have found from around the internet that I think work and are worth your time in the gym.

Some of the external links to other websites are affiliate links, what this basically means is that if you decide to purchase something, I get a small commission. I value honesty and that is why I want you to be aware of this, and only purchase if you feel it is the right product for you, and your goal.

Well that’s a little about me and my site,

I hope you find what you’re looking for, if not let me know and I might just be able to find it for you.

If you too run a fitness blog or just want to have a chat i would love to hear from you.
